About me

Arif has been teaching, researching, and designing in the Department of Architecture at the Universitas Indonesia since 2016, within the Architectural Design Research Cluster (AD-Lab UI). His interests in narrative, exhibition, and everyday architecture drive him to community engagements and temporary architectural projects, integrating various media into the environment. His practice focuses on how stories unfold in space and time.

At the moment, he is a PhD candidate in Architecture at the University of Nottingham within the Architecture, Culture and Tectonics Research Group. His research revolves around the study of inscriptive practices within the landscape art environment. Focusing on the dynamic relationship between ‘authors’ and ‘readers’ it aims to advance the understanding of the post-museum.
